With the advent of Sony’s T-series cameras, photography has indeed reached a higher altitude. The slim and posh Cybershot T-series cameras have become a fundamental accessory for people who want to capture their precious moments and have fun with it.
One of the T-series cameras is Sony Cybershot DSC T100. Its prepossessing face calls the attention of so many and sticks out like a sore thumb. The 0.875-inch thick camera comes in shade of red, black and silver. It is very pocketable at a dimension of 3.6 x 2.3 x 0.9 inches and a weight of 6.9 oz including the batteries.
The 8 effective mega pixel camera savors a Carl Zeiss lens of 35mm-to-175mm-equivalent 5x zoom, definitely an upgrade of the 3x zoom lenses of the previous T series cameras. It has a 3-inch screen that gives an extravagantly wide view; the display remains colorful and clear, even when having a look at it from a near-90-degree angle regardless of direction. The T100 has an ISO 3,200 for high-speed and low light shooting.
DSC T100 has an internal memory of 31 MB which can store ten photos at the maximum at the best quality setting. The camera uses Sony’s Memory Stick Pro Duo cards and Info Lithium NP-BG1 battery that gets fully charged within a lengthy 4 and a half hours.

Now let’s go to the other stuff that one can do with the DSC T100. With a Cybershot Station or a component video cable, comfortably viewing slideshows on TV with background music is possible because of the Music Transfer for Windows and Mac OS. There is also the Picture Motion Browser software that only works in Windows and this enables the thumbnail and calendar views of photos. This will make the selection for e-mailing, slideshows and printing easier. Double click a thumbnail and the photo is ready for editing- fine-tune the colors, correct the red eye, trim, add effects and date photos. For a street price of US$380, Sony DSC T100 is worth buying.
