Sony Ericsson P1i verdict: Looking good

Sony Ericsson M600 was so tempting, but it lacks some key features. Among them is camera, and wi-fi capability. I didn’t buy the M600 because it lack these features, never the less, I’m keeping on watch for their next release, as I’m sure Sony will improve their innovation. And boy am I right.

Apparently Sony heard the pleading thoughts of its fans. The next generation of M600, named P1i (P-One-i). Some of the features including 3G capabilities, wi fi (although its only 802.11b and not the better g), 3.15MP camera, paired with a VGA front camera for video calls (finally), and still with touch screen features, on its bright, 240×320 TFT screen, P1i is looking very good indeed. Its silver black finish give a touch of luxury to the phone.

I’m sure that P1i has the potential to be even more popular than M600, however, time will prove. One of the smart solution I’ve seen is using the M600 as a 3G mobile modem for mobile Internet connection. Now if this is possible with the P1i as well, I’m sure that adds another value to it, since people can just use their phone as 3G modem, and at the same time, as a phone, instead of paying for a separate 3G USB modem.
