So, you are an animation lover, have big passion in computer graphic, visual effect, gaming or other digital arts. On top of that, you are really passionate to share, help and gain more information about digital arts. Why don’t you blog it. And rather than built your blog at general blogging service, you can try Animation Blogspot. It is a blogging service site dedicated exclusively to people who want to blogs about animation and other types of digital arts.  This can be an alternative effort to gather all animation and digital arts resource around the world.

It uses Wordpress as its blogging platform, so I think it will easy for people to get start, and also to move/import their existing blogs. Your free opened blog account will have general format : mysubdomain.animationblogspot.com. Initially it gives you 100MB space without any Bandwith limitation. Other thing you may need to consider is that it will force ads in your blogs to support its community and to keep blogging service itself (that is why its free)

Plus, you directly support the rest of the animation community. Each blog will have two ad positions integrated into its blog pages. One is a 728×90 pixel superbanner at the top of the blog page, and the other is a 135×240 pixel vertical banner in the side column of the blog page. The top-page ad helps to keep the service free.

you decide it is a pros or cons. Beside, you still can place your own ads if you want. There is no special thing about the blogging itself, but your blog will be included in the crowd of specialized digital arts blogs, as it will automatically promote your blog else where. I think it is worth to try.

Free publicity within the Animation Blogspot and across the Animation World Network of affiliate sites, newsletters, press releases, RSS feeds, etc. (Being associated with AWN.com, the largest online publisher of animation and visual effects resources, has its perks.)
